Over 100 Law Firms met at this year’s 360 Legal Group Annual Conference for practical ideas, inspiration and motivation to take their businesses forwards.
With a new two day format and a central London venue delegates heard from some of the leading forward thinkers working with the legal profession. Viv Williams, CEO, The 360 Legal Group looked at the seismic change facing the legal profession and the new focus for The 360 Legal Group to help it’s members to Get Work; Save Costs and Restructure. Jane Galvin, Head of Professional Services Barclays Commercial discussed the need for law firms to develop forward planning and active growth strategies. Kim Tasso focused on the practical steps that law firms can take to develop their legal services from bespoke/ hourly billed to commodotised/ fixed priced.
Feedback from delegates was fantastic:
“Really buzzy no frills review of the legal services market and how we can provide solutions for our clients and grow.” Stephen Hewitt, Managing Partner, Fisher Meredith LLP, London.
“A salutary reminder of what we are doing wrong and useful tips of how I can put things right!” Peter Grunberger, Managing Partner, Curwens, Enfield.
“Really upbeat in tricky times – going away remotivated”. Elizabeth Young, Partner, Brethertons, Banbury.
The opportunity to network with like-minded professionals at the Gala Dinner and at the facilitated networking session on Day Two was also highlighted as benefit of the event:
“Great day, time well spent and very cost effective. Lots of opportunities to network and will certainly attend next year . . . but will wear my kilt.” Raymond McLennan, Morisons, Edinburgh.
With over 20 key service providers to the legal profession available for delegates to speak to in the exhibition hall and at the event and a business clinic attended by over 10 law firms many delegates made comments such as:
“‘More useful information in 2 days than I’ve had at any other event for the legal profession” Stefano Lucatello, Senior Partner, The International Property Law Centre.
With the 2009 Annual Conference being such a huge success we are already making plans for next year’s event. This way you can be sure to block out the dates in your diaries.
We are once again planning to hold a 2 day event with a Gala Dinner at the end of Day 1. This will be taking place on 7 and 8 October in a London venue which will be decided shortly.
