Some of you who attended the 360 Annual Conference in October participated in the workshop on Cloud Technology presented by Bill Duncan of Secure Virtual Office and Sandy Spink of Rosecom. The workshop demonstrated clearly the significant cost and efficiency benefits, as well as the enhanced security aspects, of moving to the new generation of secure hosted IT applications and voice over IP telephony, as confirmed by those 360 members who have already embraced this technology.

The name of the game for law firms at present is to run their businesses efficiently and competitively and any development which enables them to reduce their overheads materially in the critical area of IT and telephony, while providing a much more secure and responsive working environment, cannot be overlooked.

360 Legal Group would like to explore further with Secure Virtual Office and Rosecom how the benefits of Cloud Technology might best  be made available to those 360 members who are actively considering adopting it or who have this on their list of management topics to discuss. Those benefits are likely to be maximised if a group of, say, 5 to 10 firms indicated a serious interest in exploring this in more detail.
